KSANA July 4th Breakfast Celebration

In an effort to beat the summer heat and allow folks time to attend multiple events, we’re having a breakfast picnic to celebrate the 4th this year.

KSANA will provide breakfast sandwiches and beverages. If you’d like to round out the meal with other breakfast-y items (muffins, fruit, doughnuts, etc.), we’d certainly appreciate it!

We will also have our traditional Kids’ Parade around the church, so feel free to decorate your bikes, trikes, wagons, and strollers. Or not. It’s up to you (and your kids.)

Please RSVP before 8:00 p.m. July 1st!

If you plan to attend, send an email to ksana.contact@gmail.com or call Cammy at 497-3420. We need to know your name, address, and the number of adults & children who will be attending.

KSANA Yard Sale – June 2

Our annual KSANA Yard Sale Saturday is next weekend, June 2nd. All residents are welcome to participate, but if you want us to put a sign on your street, you’ll need to let us know you’re having a sale. (Or you can put up your own signs if you’d like!)

Your start time is up to you, but early usually works well. We’ll advertise 8:00 a.m, but people will begin showing up as early as 6 a.m. but you can always tell them to come back later.

We’ll advertise in The Commercial Appeal (online), Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Next Door. Feel free to share the news with your friends and family, too!

Please let Cammy know before Thursday (May 31) if you plan to participate.

Public Works Preparing for Frozen Precipitation

Division of Public Works employees are preparing for the forecast of frozen precipitation in Memphis overnight. If and when the city starts receiving any frozen precipitation, Public Works will deploy up to 12 trucks to spread sand and salt as part of its de-icing operation. The city has over 8,000 tons of salt and sand mixture on hand for winter weather events.

Due to the amount of rain expected before the snow event, no brine will be used to pre-treat roads.

Public Works intends to provide practical and safe transportation routes that best suits the needs of the public during winter storms.
