MAS Needs Donations

Hey KSANA animal lovers!

Do you have any gently used towels taking up space at your house that you’d like to get rid of? We will put them to good use at Memphis Animal Services–we go through MANY towels at the shelter!

If you have some you’d like to donate, you can drop them off at 2350 Appling City Cove during our adoption hours daily from 12-4 and until 7PM Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Thank you!

Also this link will take you to a list of items they need on a regular basis.

MAS is located off I-40 and Appling Rd.

Individual Posing As Memphis Animal Services Officer

CITIZEN ALERT: Memphis Animal Services has received reports in the Berclair area of an individual posing as an MAS officer, attempting to take people’s pets. This Local Memphis story has all the information you need about confirming the identity of any of our officers.

If anyone comes to your house claiming they’re an animal control officer and says you must surrender your pet, check the following:
✔️ They are driving an official MAS vehicle with government tags
✔️ They are in official MAS uniform
✔️ They have a badge, city ID, radio, and safety gear.

If you question any officer’s legitimacy, you can always call 545-COPS to confirm the officer’s identity via their badge number.

Adult Dog Foster Pilot Program

Do you love dogs? Do you want to play a major role in implementing an exciting new program at Memphis Animal Services?

Join our Pilot Dog Foster Program we launched this week!

During the pilot portion of the program (taking place in November and December), five dogs will be available for foster each week. Foster parents must complete a short foster application/interview, and must be willing to play an active role in marketing their foster dogs for adoption and helping foster coordinators collect data for the pilot program.

Foster dogs will be available for adoption locally in the Memphis Area.

If you’re interested in fostering a featured dog for 4-6 weeks or until adoption (whichever comes first!), email MAS@memphistn.gov or come by Memphis Animal Services this Friday or Saturday from 12-4pm to learn more and meet the dogs!

Meet one of our first Pilot Dogs pictured here: Little Dipper #A308425, who is a 2-year-old female!
