Coffee for the MPD Ridgeway Station

Giving a gift of coffee is a nice way to show appreciation to the officers of the Ridgeway Police Station who serve the Keswick Stornaway (KSANA) neighborhood.

The precinct uses two coffee systems:
A communal coffee pot (Folger’s or Maxwell House ground coffee suggested)
Keurig K-cups for single to-go servings (preferred by the majority of coffee-drinking officers)

The RWS currently has 125 officers, most of whom drink coffee and work longer-than-eight-hour shifts. If you would like to support our local precinct, consider ordering coffee. There are many sources, but Amazon, will make it simple by delivering coffee directly to the precinct.

The delivery address is:
Memphis Police Dept. Ridgeway Station
ATTN: Ms Andrienna Hill
3840 Ridgeway Road
Memphis, TN 38115
901-636-4539

Thank you for your time and any assistance you’re able to offer, whether by making a purchase or helping to share the information with others.

Created 30 years ago by our partner Points of Light, National Family Volunteer Day celebrates the power of families working together to make a difference in their communities. This is an excellent way to spend quality time together while teaching children about the importance of giving back.

Sponsored by United Healthcare and in partnership with the Memphis Rotary Club, MIFA, Believing Church and the Mid-South Food Bank, Volunteer Memphis will provide families, individuals and homebound seniors with meals and groceries in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Messick & McVay All-Way-Stop

The cities of Germantown and Memphis have teamed up to improve safety at the intersection of Messick and McVay roads, along the southwest border of Germantown and Memphis.

In this collaborative effort, the City of Memphis is installing an all-way stop at that location, along with advance warning signage at the approaches to the intersection.

Previously, the intersection was only two-way stop controlled with stop signs at Messick Road and the Allelon Subdivision.

“Traffic safety is an utmost priority for our community,” Germantown City Engineer Ethan Skaggs said. “This joint effort executed data collection, intersection analysis, engineering design, and delivery of safety improvements that will serve both of our communities excellently.”

The new all-way stop installation is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
